Emperor’s College alumni, students, faculty, administrators, and friends invite you to participate with us in the American Diabetes Association’s “2016 Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes.”
Nearly 30 million adults and children in the United States live with diabetes and we’re walking along with hundreds of other Angelenos to end Diabetes! Every 23 seconds someone in the United States is diagnosed with diabetes and every day diabetes claims the lives of 200 Americans.
EVENT DETAILS
- The walk is on November 5th, 2016 at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
- The walk begins at 8:30am.
- The course is two miles and winds its way through the park and attractions before they open to the public.
- If you arrive before 9:00am, parking is free.
- There is no registration fee.
- If you raise at least $100 in donations, you get a t-shirt and a ticket to the park to enjoy the attractions and rides for the rest of the day.
THREE WAYS YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
- Join the Emperor’s College team and walk with us at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
- Join the team even if you can’t participate in the walk (virtual participant).
- Share on your social media. We will post regularly on Facebook until the event, so please share.
- Even if you can’t join us for the walk, you can donate and fundraise.
- You can donate to Team Emperor’s or, preferably, to any of the individual team members that will be walking.
- Joining the team even if you can’t do the walk gives you access to the event’s fundraising tools.
- 100% of donations made to Team Emperor’s or any of the individual team members goes to the American Diabetes Association.
- You can donate anonymously, in your own name, or in honor of someone else.
