This practice brings jing, qi and shen of the patient into play, to both prevent and heal disease.

This seminar focuses on the abdomen as the postnatal qi in all Zang Fu channels are developed on the foundation of Congenital Channel of the umbilical cord. Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture:  Orthopedics

(15 CEUs - CA Acupuncture Board Approved)

Lecturer:  David Euler

Saturday & Sunday September 13 & 14, 2008       9:00AM – 5:30PM

Kiiko Matsumoto’s Style Acupuncture utilizes a systematic, easy to learn, instantaneous feedback, palpatory method that reveals a comprehensive diagnosis and a patient-unique, treatment plan. By looking deeply into structural and/or constitutional imbalances underling a patient’s symptomatic complaints, a Kiiko Style practitioner is able to successfully solve difficult cases and treat the most complex of possible medical issues. This style is largely inspired by the work of modern Japanese acupuncturists such as Master Nagano, Master Kawai and Kiiko’s vast clinical experience. Although highly clinically oriented and practical, this style of acupuncture is very close to the original classic texts (Ling Shu, Su Wen, and Nan Ching) and their important interpretations such as the Leiching. In this course interesting discussions and translations of ancient texts and point names are presented as hands on practical solutions to hard to cure diseases. This Kiiko Style Acupuncture workshop will provide a concise, yet comprehensive method of the treatment of orthopedics including, neck, shoulder, back, hip and knee pain.

David Euler is a recognized authority on Kiiko Matsumoto’s style of Acupuncture, its integration with Traditional Chinese Styles and Western Medicine. As Faculty and clinical supervisor David taught the Kiiko Style of Acupuncture for 6 years at the New England School of Acupuncture. He has worked in close collaboration with Kiiko Matsumoto for over 15 years and is teaching her style in many places around the world. In collaboration with Kiiko Matsumoto and Dr. Joseph Audette, David is directing an acupuncture course for the Harvard Medical School, department of continuing education. Flow Tuina is a hybrid form of Tui Na that uniquely combines western osteopathic and manual therapies with classical Tui Na.  Using palpation, you will learn to evaluate the meridian system in only one minute.  The low velocity, non-force treatment techniques are easily learned and applied.  They are painless for your patients and rapid to use, employing the body’s own reflexes to quickly relieve tightness and pain.

Don Lee LAc, is a licensed acupuncturist at the Center for Health Enhancement and Occupational Medicine at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, where he specializes in anti-aging and orthopedics. He is a medical evaluator.

Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture:

Neurological Syndromes and Headaches

(15 CEUs - CA Acupuncture Board Approved)

Lecturer:  David Euler

Saturday & Sunday November 8 & 9, 2008       9:00AM – 5:30PM

Although highly clinically oriented and practical, this style of acupuncture is very close to the original classic texts (Ling Shu, Su Wen, and Nan Ching) and their important interpretations such as the Neiching. in the first day of this seminar David will present a very detailed differential diagnosis of causes that lead to the inability to heal from neurological conditions such as post stroke problems, Parkinson's, various neuropathies as well as RSD and pain syndromes.  Specific treatments will also be presented for the discussed neurological problems .On the second day of this seminar David will present a detailed differential diagnosis of the causes leading to headache as well as the treatment strategies specific to them. The headaches presented include (but are not limited to) whiplash, cervical, tension, migraine, internal organ (Liver disorders, Kidney disorders and Spleen disorders). On both days David will demonstrate on patients and volunteers. The images are going to be projected on a large screen so everyone can see.

David is specialized in organizing Kiiko’s material and presenting it in such a way that is didactic and easy to understand. David is also specialized in creating a bridge between Western allopathic medicine, palpatory and acupuncture treatment results and classic Chinese medical translations.
