About Us

Emperor's College, founded in 1983, is one of the largest and oldest Oriental Medicine schools in the country and has a long tradition of educating exceptional practitioners of Oriental Medicine who are currently shaping the future of the medicine. Emperor's College offers myriad advantages that make it one of the leading OM institutions in the country.

Distinguished Faculty

We are proud of our distinguished and diverse faculty members, who were educated at some of the best and most prestigious TOM colleges in the world and are considered leaders in their fields. Our instructors are role models, dedicated to training the next generation of practitioners who will continue to advance the field of Oriental Medicine in the United States.

Rigorous Academic Curriculum

Emperor's College offers an exceptional, well-rounded curriculum that includes training in Oriental Medicine, acupuncture, herbal medicine, and western sciences. The required curriculum, together with electives, positions graduates to be the most capable practitioners and supports academic growth with personal cultivation.

Exceptional Clinical Program

At our renowned Emperor's College Community Clinic, our student interns provide over 15,000 treatments per year for a wide range of conditions, treating a diverse patient population. Through our partnerships with UCLA's Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center and the Venice Family Clinic, students have the opportunity to work in western medical settings as well. These clinic opportunities provide unmatched hands-on experience that will prepare our students for success in the profession.

Track Record of Success

The College consistently holds one of the top passing rates on the California Licensing Examination, which allows our graduates to serve as primary care providers in CA. We continuously strive for higher levels of excellence in our commitment to ensuring our graduates' success.

Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Program

Emperor's College is one of the few colleges approved by the accreditation body to offer a doctoral program for licensed acupuncturists. We established the program in 2004 to respond to the demand for more advanced clinical training and the need to have an advanced degree that appropriately reflects the knowledge and clinical capabilities of these practitioners.

Community Spirit

We are committed to creating a caring, supportive environment that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of all of our community members. An annual student body retreat at Big Bear Lake helps further our goal of creating a strong, vibrant community of learning at Emperor's College.

Commitment to Public Education

We see it as a critical part of our mission to educate the public on the benefits and uses of Acupuncture and Oriental medicine. To this end we host an annual wellness fair at the College, as well as participating in various health fairs and outreach programs in the community. We also present quarterly lectures to the public about various aspects of the medicine.

Distinguished Alumni

Emperor's College has over 1,000 alumni around the world who successfully practice Oriental Medicine, serve as faculty and academic leaders of several other colleges, and work as pioneering political leaders of the field.  We are proud of our alumni who exemplify excellence in scholarship, clinical care, teaching, and leadership.
