Touring the College

Once you have narrowed down your choices to a few colleges, the best thing you can do is to visit the campus and take a tour.  This will allow you to sort out the fine details and give you an invaluable sense of what distinguishes each school from the others.

Do the things you read in the catalog or the website match up with what you see in the classrooms and clinic?

Try to arrange your visit when classes are in session, rather than during a quarter or semester break.  Sit in on several classes and listen to the lectures.  Schedule a treatment for yourself in the clinic.  Talk to the students and the interns and ask them about the experience of their education.

Is there as sense of community amongst the students?  Between the students and faculty?  Between the students and the administration?  Notice how you feel while you are visiting the school.  Your intuition will speak to you about whether or not each school feels right for you.

There are so many things that each individual must consider in choosing a college.  We hope this will help you get started on the road to finding the best program for you.
