AAAOM: The American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was formed in 1981 to be the unifying force for American acupuncturists who are committed to high ethical and educational standards, and a well regulated profession to ensure the safety of the public. www.aaom.com
NCCAOM: The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine was established to develop and administer a national certification process based on the nationally recognized standards of competence and education. www.nccaom.org CCAOM: The Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
was set up to advance acupuncture and Oriental medicine by promoting educational excellence within the field. www.ccaom.org ACAOM: The Accedidation Committe of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is the national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Eduction to accredit professional programs in the acupuncture and Oriental Medicine profession. www.acaom.org CSOMA: The California State Oriental Medical Association is a professional organization of liscenced acupuncturists and supporters dedicated to preservation and advancment of the art, science and practice of Oriental Medicine in a caring and ethical manner, enhancing health and well being of the general public. www.csomaonline.org California Acupuncture Board: The mission of this board is to protect and educate the public through appropriate regulation of liscensure, education standards, and enforcement of the Acupuncture Liscensure Act, which includes Oriental Medicine. www.acupuncture.ca.gov |
