Santa Monica, CA (September 18, 2013) – Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine, the California acupuncture school celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, is pleased to announce that its Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program received full accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM).

ACAOM, which is recognized by the US Department of Education as a “specialized and professional” accrediting agency, found that the Emperor’s College DAOM program is fully in compliance with the 14 accreditation standards, with no areas of non-compliance and no areas for further development. Emperor’s College is among the eight select schools in the US with an accredited DAOM program, out of 72 schools nationwide.“The ACAOM accreditation confirms the high academic standards our DAOM program has come to be known for,” said John Fang, DAOM, LAc, academic dean to the doctoral program at Emperor’s College.The DAOM program at Emperor’s College offers a dual specialization in internal and physical medicine and provides practitioners of Oriental medicine with advanced clinical and professional skills that is specifically designed to address the needs of today’s diverse patient population.The full press release with images to download is available online on PRWeb.
